Tells us a bit about yourself. Do you have kids, what is your career, do you have pets, etc.?

I have one son in his second year of college I work for the town of Riverhead for 15 years now I’m married for 23 I have two doggies I love thresher and lily

 

When did you join SIDR?

I think it was 1.5 years ago maybe longer lol

 

How did you first hear about us, and what led you to want to become an SIDR skater or Ref?

I saw you at live on 25 and thought wow I want to do that

 

What was your bootcamp recruitment experience like?

Challenging but exciting

 

What have you found to be the most challenging aspect of derby so far?

Believing in myself

 

What has derby done for you both physically and mentally?

Pushed me to limits I never knew I had made me try things I never thought I would be able to do

 

What are your derby goals?

My goals started from learning to skate to mastering to skate what I want is to prove to myself my hard work and dedication can get me to pass my skills so I can really play derby

 

What quote helps you to get through challenging times in order for your to push yourself to reach your goals?

You can do this

 

Based on your experience, what advice would you give someone who is brand new to derby?

Derby is a personal journey for each person your doing it for yourself and don’t give up its easy to get discouraged get out there throw your skates on and just have fun
