Position: Jammer; Ref-in-Training
Skating experience: I have been skating forever. (It was one of my first loves!) But I just discovered derby in 2024.
Training routine: Training for me is mostly derby practice and running - the latter about 5x per week - plus the occasional vinyasa yoga class. (Though Smack recently put together a fabulous HIIT/strength regimen for me, so I am broadening my horizons!)
Day job: High school English and radio teacher. (My derby name was selected due to my love of teaching Hamlet in AP Lit.)
Hobbies / Interests: Skating/derby, running, reading, writing, guitar, cooking, knitting/crocheting, and caring for our family’s many animal friends
Future derby goals: Bout eligible and rostered; referee-in-training
Favorite derby moments: Park skating. Cadet training. Making it out of the pack. Remembering to take off/pass the star. Every time folks on this team hype someone up for doing something awesome. Hanging out with so many sweet and cool people.
